The fundamental differences in the locking methods of wire-to-wire connectors stem from the distinct mechanical principles underlying their internal structural designs.

Snap-lock mechanisms rely on the precise interaction between an elastic latch and a corresponding groove. When the plug is fully inserted, the latch rebounds under its own elasticity and snaps into the groove, forming a reliable self-locking connection. The anti-vibration performance of this structure mainly depends on the elasticity of the latch material and the geometric accuracy of the groove.

Threaded locking mechanisms utilize the principle of the helical incline. By rotating the nut or the plug housing, the threads generate continuous axial clamping force, tightly pressing the plug and socket together. This structure provides exceptionally high retention strength, making it particularly effective against axial tension and torsional stress.

Push-pull locking mechanisms typically incorporate a spring-loaded latch or slider mechanism. Through a simple linear push or pull action, the latch engages or disengages with the locking points inside the socket instantly. The key lies in the coordinated interaction between the spring force of the latch and the sloped surface design of the locking points, ensuring quick engagement and a clear tactile feedback upon full insertion.
